About Holiday Island

Holiday Island is located on the tip of South Ari-Atoll, just 97km from Male International Airport, approximately 35 minutes by air or two and half hours ride by fast boat. The length of the island is approximately 700m, while its width is approximately 100m.

The design for Holiday Island reveals a grouping of low-rise rectangular-shaped individual bungalows joined by covered walkways. The main complex is surrounded by landscaped gardens amidst tropical vegetation and crystal clear sea, thus offering the visitor an enchanting view of undulating greens interspersed with azure sea. The word

“Dhiffushi” is a Dhivehi word meaning “long uninhabited island”.

The interior of the hotel reflects modernization with heavy usage of modern amenities, antique furniture and paintings by local artists.

Since December 2003 Villa Diving on Holiday Island is offering guided diving and introductory courses to Maldives visitors. Villa Diving has achieved PADI's highest awarded rating as a 5-Star IDC center.

Knowledgeable PADI Divemasters are ready to guide you on single dives and full day excursions in the fascinating underwater world of the South Ari Atoll, one of the most beautiful destinations for snorkeling and diving in Maldives.

Villa Diving offers exclusively Whale Shark and Manta Ray trips to the outside reef and Manta Point on our purpose built diving dhoni.
